On Saturday July  29th at Nightshift Bar & Grill, twenty-nine of the league's top fifty players over the course of Season V met to compete for the title of DeepStacks Season 5 Champion.  Congratulations to Kenneth Manning Jr on becoming the latest DeepStacks Poker League Champion.

Led by Kontenders Poker, DeepStacks Poker League is joining multiple leagues from around the country in the Rescue Me Across America Campaign to collect food items for our Homeless, Active Duty, and Other Veterans in need.  From August 6th - 12th, we will collect cans / box food items at our nightly bar poker games for up to 5K chips extra per game.

The week will cap off on the 12th at the St. Charles Band Booster Texas Hold'em Fundraiser at Leo's Pub & Grill where all of the food donations will be collected.

Chip Bonuses at DPL Nightly Events
1K for each can / boxed food item, with 10K max bonus per event

St. Charles Band Booster Texas Hold'em Fundraiser
5K for 10 cans/boxed food items OR $5 donation at time of registration
(Please no ramen noodles. Cereal, rice etc is fine; try to make it a meal that can be easily eaten.)

Congratulations to Dan Preston  on his first place finish at Brick & Mortar Mini-Series Event #2.  The event was held on July 22nd at JP's Corner Sports Bar & Grill.  Sixty-two players showed up for the event to compete for a buy-in to the Hearland Poker Tour Ameristar in September.

1st Place awarded a $125 buy-in at HPT Ameristar St. Charles (9/20 - 10/02)
The top 20% of the field qualified for the Brick & Mortar Mini-Series Championship on September 16th at Dorsett Inn with a 1st place prize of a $350 buy-in at HPT Ameristar St. Charles (9/20 - 10/02)
